Oskar Blues, Frontier Airlines Team Up To Help Puerto Rico

DENVER (AP) — A Longmont brewery is teaming up with Frontier Airlines to send water to Puerto Rico in the aftermath of Hurricane Maria.

Frontier spokesman Richard Oliver says in a Thursday statement that the Denver-based airline partnered with Oskar Blues Brewery and the CAN'd Aid Foundation charity to send 91,200 cans of drinking water to Puerto Rico after it was hit with Hurricane Maria earlier this month as a Category 4 storm.

The first cases of water are expected to arrive to the island's capital city, San Juan, by Friday afternoon.
The planes will bring back stranded travelers.

The brewery has halted its production several times in the past month to help can drinking water for Texas and Florida after they were struck by hurricanes.

So far, Oskar Blues has distributed about 433,000 cans of water.
