Officers Shoot Suspect After Stolen Car Crash
THORNTON, Colo. (CBS4)- Police in Thornton shot a suspect who crashed a stolen car and then tried to run from officers on Thursday.
The shooting happened in the area of 98th and Grant Street on Thursday afternoon after the suspect crashed the stolen vehicle into a shrub.
Police investigating Officer Involved Shooting (OIS) in the 9700 Block of Grant Street. No officers injured, one suspect transported to local hospital with unknown injuries. PIO is in route to the scene.

The driver tried to run and was shot during an encounter with an officer.
No officers were injured.
The suspect was injured with non-life threatening injuries and rushed to the hospital.
The shooting happened near the Walmart when a gunman went inside and started shooting last fall.
Scott Ostrem has been accused of opening fire inside a Walmart in that same area in November 2017 and killing three people. He has been charged with three counts of murder.
