Nuggets Announce New Court Design For Upcoming Season

DENVER (CBS4) - The Denver Nuggets will unveil a new court design for the upcoming basketball season. It will feature some new changes to the hardwood that's been around since the 2010-2011 season.

Most obvious, the Nuggets' mountain peak logo fills center court. The iconic pick axes fill out the area inside the three-point lines in a subdued blue. A similarly colored mountain range will be added along the sideline.

Below that will be two symbolic numbers: 5280 to represent Denver's altitude of 5,280 feet; and 300: to represent the Front Range's 300 days of sunshine per year.

The new court will see its first action on Oct. 16 when the Nuggets play the Phoenix Suns in preseason action.
