Some lanes of E470 closed after crash at 88th Avenue northeast of Denver
Some lanes of E470 were closed after a crash near 88th Avenue on Friday. The Colorado State Patrol investigated the crash that possibly involved a pickup and a semi.
E470 posted on X just before 4 p.m. that one northbound lane was open while both southbound lanes were open at 96th Avenue during the crash investigation and cleanup. It is unclear what transpired before the crash.
Drivers were detoured onto 96th Avenue to Tower Road southbound to Pena East after the crash Friday. Drivers were urged to expect delays or seek alternate routes.
E470 said that tow trucks and hazmat crews were on the scene of the crash.

Northbound has one lane open.
Southbound is currently completely closed at 96th Avenue. Southbound closure detour diverted onto 96th Avenue to Tower Road southbound to Pena East.
