Hailstorms pound Colorado's Eastern Plains, flooding causes issues

A tornado warning was issued for Morgan County on Colorado's Eastern Plains Monday night. The warning expired at 7:30 p.m., according to the National Weather Service. Another warning was issued shortly afterwards for Washington County further east. That was extended to expire at 9:45 p.m.

At 7:45 p.m. in the Akron area, marble-sized hail was falling heavily during the storm system, making for difficult driving conditions.

A tornado warning is issued when a tornado is happening now or about to happen. Action should be taken immediately; you should enter your safe space.
