'Molly' Overdose Claims Life Of Colorado Springs Teenager

AURORA, Colo. (CBS4) - A Colorado Springs teenager has died after overdosing on the drug "molly."

Megan Pacheco's parents shared their story to warn other families about the dangers of molly.

The 18-year-old was flown to Children's Hospital in Aurora last week after her temperature climbed to 108 degrees. Many of her organs failed.

Pacheco had taken the drug while staying at a friend's house.

Friends of the teen held a rally at Sand Creek High School Wednesday night.

Doctors and the Pachecos are urging parents to talk to their kids about the dangers of using the drug.

According to the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, across the country, molly-related emergency room visits for people under 21 increased 128 percent in just six years.
