Man Sought On Warrants Shot By Deputy
LITTLETON, Colo. (AP) — The Jefferson County Sheriff's Office says a man who was being sought on warrants is in critical condition after being shot by a deputy and bitten by a police dog.
The sheriff's office says they found the man at a store Friday night and the man locked himself inside. Deputies went in after the suspect and the suspect ran. He was shot after deputies reported seeing a gun.
Authorities say Michael Manaois was shot twice and brought down by a police dog, but he man is expected to recover.
Deputies were seeking Manaois on two felony warrants, one for sexual assault and the second for failure to register as a sex offender.
There was no listing for a current attorney for Manaois in court records.
