Man Pleads Guilty To Fatal Stabbing On RTD Bus

DENVER (CBS4) — A man accused of fatally stabbing a man on a Regional Transportation District bus in Denver has pleaded guilty to first-degree murder.

Isaiah Moreno, 21, was accused in the death of 39-year-old Esteven Ruiz-Cisneros, who was stabbed in the neck April 9, 2013.

According to court documents, Moreno allegedly told investigators he was high on methamphetamine and heroin at the time of the stabbing that occurred while the bus was parked at a transfer location at West Colfax Avenue and Federal Boulevard.

Moreno remains in custody where he is being held without bond. He's scheduled for sentencing on May. 2. He faces up to 40 years in prison.
