Man In Possession Of 35,000 Articles Of Child Porn Sentenced In Arapahoe County
CENTENNIAL, Colo. (CBS4) - An Arapahoe County man who pleaded guilty to having thousands of photos and videos of child pornography was sentenced to 4 years in prison on Monday.
Investigators say Eric Beyer was in possession of more than 35,000 pieces of pornographic material, making it one of the largest collections in Arapahoe County history.
The pornographic material dates back to 2011 and encompassed several years. Investigators said they found the material on Beyer's desktop and laptop computers, and an external hard drive.
At sentencing prosecutors showed three graphic videos depicting children involved in sex acts. Beyer's family members walked out of the courtroom before they were shown.
Beyer declined to speak with CBS4, but his father said he was shocked and disturbed by the charges. He also said that his son is a good man and a good father to his young daughter.
Prior to the charges Beyer didn't have a criminal record.
