Lotus honoring deceased percussionist Chuck Morris and his son at Denver shows, raising money for family

This weekend, a Colorado band is honoring one of its members and his son.

Chuck Morris and his son Charley both died on a kayaking trip in Arkansas earlier this month.

Chuck Morris was the drummer for the instrumental electronic jam band Lotus.

At its Friday show, the band had Chuck Morris' percussion rig set up, adorned with flowers as a white stage light shined down on the instruments.

"Nothing but love for Chuck & Charley," the band wrote on its Instagram. "We will celebrate again tonight."

Lotus played at the Fillmore Friday and will play again Saturday night to raise money for the Morris family.
