Long Security Lines Greet Passengers At DIA

DENVER (CBS4)- The busy Memorial Day weekend travel began on Thursday morning as long lines awaited travelers at Denver International Airport.

The long TSA lines at DIA were in line with others around the country. The lines were long but were moving as all lanes of the security checkpoints were open.

The lines were about 30 minutes long just after 6 a.m.

"I was thankful they weren't as long as I was anticipating," said one passenger waiting in line. "I'm not a patient person so I don't like them at all. And I tend to run late."

DIA said they are trying to keep the lines moving as quickly as possible but the best advice is to get there early.
