LED Lights Make Busy Highway Safer

JEFFERSON COUNTY, Colo. (CBS4)- The Colorado Department of Transportation is working on making a stretch of Highway 93 between Golden and Arvada safer by installing LED lights.
CDOT recently installed LED lights in the road between 64th and Highway 72.
The same lights have been installed on eastbound I-70 near the U.S. 6 exit. CDOT says since those lights were installed, crashes and injuries are down 50 percent.
