Cooler With Severe Storms Possible Sunday
DENVER (CBS4) - While Saturday was calm in Denver, severe storms blasted areas of the eastern plains with marble to ping pong ball size hail from eastern Elbert County all the way into Kansas. A line of severe storms south of Limon and Burlington prompted the issuance of several severe storm warnings early Saturday evening.
On the forecast map we are watching a cold front that will swoop through the state on Sunday cooling temperatures by 10 to 15 degrees across northern Colorado.
This front will also, help to be a trigger for showers and thunderstorms to form around the region. A few of these storms may be severe. In fact, all of eastern Colorado is out looked for a marginal to slight risk for severe storms with large hail and damaging winds being the biggest threat.
Sunday's weather change will also, help to decrease the fire danger to a small area around the Four Corners and San Luis Valley.
Monday will start a warming trend that will strengthen as the week goes on. Bringing back 90s and 100s across the eastern plains.
