Former Buffs QB Kordell Stewart Holds Book Signing In Westminster

WESTMINSTER, Colo. (CBS4) - Former Colorado Buffaloes star Kordell Stewart was in Colorado on Saturday promoting his book "Truth."

Stewart did a signing in Westminster that his former coach Bill McCartney attended as well.

Stewart says the book was about a 5-year process and he just wanted to tell his story in his words.

As for his former college team, "Slash" says he'd like to see the Buffs spread their recruiting net a little farther and take more chances on players like himself.

"I know we want to have the great kids but this is football -- sorry, it's football. You just need a few renegades, a couple guys, cutting edge guys that can actually come in and make a difference," Stewart said.

Stewart is best known for his "Hail Mary" pass against Michigan.
