DIA CEO Kim Day Retiring In July

DENVER (CBS4) - Kim Day, who has run Denver International Airport for the last 13 years, told coworkers Friday morning that she plans to retire in July. An official announcement is expected from the Mayor's office Friday.

In the brief notice to colleagues, Day did not say specifically why she was retiring now.

"I have been so fortunate to lead this airport for the last 13 years", wrote Day,"and you are part of the story that led to the success of this airport."
