Jefferson County Businesses Evacuated For 'Public Safety Threat'
EVERGREEN, Colo. (CBS4) - Colorado State Patrol and the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office evacuated businesses near the Evergreen exit of Interstate 70.
Officials say there was a public safety threat near Swede Gulch Road and Highway 74. They said there were reports of a possible explosive in a vehicle. After nearly three hours, investigators said they did not find a bomb.
Deputies arrested the 61-year-old owner of the vehicle. He is from Evergreen.

The suspect faces a charge of felony false reporting of an incendiary device.
The area was later reopened.
