Westbound I-70 Open After 17-Hour Pothole Repair
CLEAR CREEK COUNTY, Colo. (CBS4)- A pothole that caused major traffic delays during its repair Friday along Interstate 70 has been fixed.

The pothole in the westbound lane of I-70 at the bottom of Floyd HIll had traffic backed up for four miles. Delays reached at least two hours longer for drivers heading in that direction.
The hole formed through to the bridge deck.

The Colorado Department of Transportation hoped to have I-70 reopen sometime Friday night.
"Yeah, we saw it on the news right before we left and no other way around it so we just had to creep along and get through it," said traveler Bryce Huff.
US 6 and US 40 were used as alternate routes to avoid delays in the area.
