Colorado semi crash, hazmat cleanup forces closure of northbound I-225 in Aurora

The northbound lanes of Interstate 225 were shut down for approximately an hour on Wednesday afternoon because of a semi truck crash. A hazmat team was called in to clean up the scene, according to Aurora police.

It happened in Aurora near the East Iliff Avenue exit at approximately 3 p.m.

Traffic was being diverted off the highway at the Iliff exit during the closure.

There have been no reports of any injuries.
