I-70 Reopens After Wildfire Reported In Edwards
EDWARDS, Colo. (CBS4) - Interstate 70 has reopened between the Wolcott and Avon exits after a wildfire forced the highway to shut down for several hours. The fire was first reported around 5:30 p.m. Thursday in Edwards.
Officials decided to close I-70 because of wind and the fire's proximity to drivers.
Officials with Eagle River Fire say the wildfire was about four acres and no structures were threatened. The cause is under investigation.
