Hundreds Of Officers Deliver Toys To Young Hospital Patients

AURORA, Colo. (CBS4) - Lights and sirens went off at Children's Hospital Colorado this week, but it wasn't for any emergency.

More than 300 law enforcement officers delivered toys to patients at the hospital.

It was particularly special for one of the officers who has a personal connection to the hospital.

"My daughter was here. I know a lot of the individuals that come here with us have had children that have had illnesses that Children's Hospital has helped," said Denver's Sheriff Department Major Kelly Bruning. "So it's my way of giving back."

The event happens every year and always helps spread some holiday warmth.
