Hundreds Allowed Back Home After Wildfire Scare

DOUGLAS COUNTY, Colo. (CB4) - Hundreds of people forced from their homes in Douglas County because of a wildfire on Friday are now allowed to return home.

Officials now say the Chatridge Fire was caused accidentally by an equipment malfunction on an electrical power pole.

The fire burned 205 acres dangerously close to the Chatfield Estates and Backcountry neighborhoods.

Highway 85 was closed down for a couple hours and more than 850 homes were evacuated.
