HOV Lane Gates Didn't Open During Thursday Morning Commute

DENVER (CBS4)- In addition to the snowy and slick conditions on the roadways in the Denver metro area Thursday morning, the HOV lanes along Interstate 25 didn't open.

The gates for the HOV lanes stayed closed in the north metro area.

Several people blamed the bitter cold temperatures but the company that maintains the gates said it was a technical issue.

The company couldn't open the gates with the computer program so they had to send out crews to open the gates manually.
