Historic Ballpark District Gets Much Needed TLC
DENVER (CBS4) - Residents spruced up the historic Ballpark District in Denver on Saturday.
During the Ballpark Community Cleanup neighbors picked up trash and painted over graffiti. It was all part of the Keep Denver Beautiful Initiative.
The goal is to maintain an attractive and safe urban environment.
"I live in the neighborhood and in the last year or so it's gone really downhill as far as the drug dealers and trash and we just wanted to clean it up," a Ballpark District resident said.
Hundreds of people participated in the event which was sponsored by Denver Mayor Michael Hancock.
