Heavy Rain Overnight Leads To Some Street Flooding

DENVER (CBS4) - Storms rolled across the Denver metro area periodically throughout the overnight hours and brought heavy rain.

That led, in at least one location, to some street flooding.

A CBS4 crew spotted a few drivers stalling out when trying to make it through a flooded street in Denver's Green Valley Ranch neighborhood.

Arvada police also had to close two lanes of eastbound Interstate 70 between Kipling and Wadworth for a short time because of flooding. That took place during the Tuesday morning commute.

CBS4's Lauren Whitney said more overnight storm activity is possible in the Denver area Tuesday night into Wednesday morning.
