Greeley Fire Performs Difficult Rescue Of Construction Worker Who Broke Pelvis

GREELEY, Colo. (CBS4) - Greeley firefighters rescued a construction worker who fell 30 feet Tuesday morning.

The incident occurred at approximately 9:20 a.m. in the 1000 block of 1st Avenue.

"Upon arrival of the first Greeley Fire Engine Company it was determined that a person had fallen approximately 30 feet to the bottom of a building under construction," Lt. Ben Ojinaga said in a statement.

Access to the man was difficult. Crews used ropes, pulleys and an aerial ladder to pull the worker to safety.

The worker broke his pelvis and underwent surgery Tuesday afternoon.
