Governor Tours Colorado Natural Disaster Sites

CANON CITY, Colo. (AP) - Gov. John Hickenlooper is visiting recent flood and fire sites to see how they're recovering from the natural disasters.

Hickenlooper stopped first in Canon City, where the Royal Gorge Bridge & Park was damaged by a wildfire last year. The world's highest suspension bridge recently reopened to visitors.

Hickenlooper is also marking the one-year anniversary of widespread flooding with a day of service projects Saturday and visits to some of the places hit hardest last year. His itinerary included stops in Manitou Springs, Loveland, Longmont and Lyons.

U.S. Sen. Mark Udall was also visiting flood sites on Friday.
