'Good Grammar Bandit' Charged In 8 Bank Robberies
BRIGHTON, Colo. (CBS4)- A man dubbed the "Good Grammar Bandit" has been arrested and charged in eight bank robberies in three different counties.
Levi Derek Hall was dubbed the Good Grammar Bandit because the FBI said his notes to tellers demanding money were typed with proper spelling, grammar and punctuation.
Hall, 34, has been charged with eight counts of robbery in a string of robberies from April 2, 2014 to August 12, 2014. Those banks robbed include TCF Bank in Northglenn, three Chase Bank locations in Thornton, one Chase Bank location in Westminster, one TCF Bank in Westminster, one TCF Bank in Northglenn and one Chase Bank location in Douglas County.
At one time, Hall topped the FBI's list of the top 10 bank thieves along Colorado's Front Range.
Hall was arrested Monday. He posted $5,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in Adams County Court on June 9 for a disposition hearing.
