Golden Eagle Released Into Wild Following Rehab After Being Struck By Car

STEAMBOAT SPRINGS, Colo. (CBS4)- A golden eagle that was struck by a car has returned to the wild after rehab. The eagle was struck near the Colorado-Wyoming border last August.

The bird, named Alita by her caretakers, underwent rehab in Steamboat Springs. The golden eagle was released and tracked to Scottsbluff, Nebraska.

Alita spend 11 months recovering from a head injury and was released from Craig on July 7.
