Fort Logan National Cemetery Memorial Day Tradition Changed Due To Coronavirus
DENVER (CBS4) - How people will honor the memory of U.S. fallen service members at Fort Logan National Cemetery changed with the coronavirus pandemic. Not as many flags were placed at the gravesites on the Saturday before Memorial Day.
This year, there are also no large ceremonies allowed to honor those service members. In years past, Boy Scout troops would make it their mission to place a flag in front of every grave.
A veterans group stepped in to help this year.
