Fort Carson Soldiers Visit Denver Zoo To Learn About Camels
DENVER (CBS4)- Soldiers from Fort Carson visited the Denver Zoo to learn more about camels before they embark on a mission overseas.
Veterinary and medical professionals with the 10th Special Forces Group at the Army Post near Colorado Springs visited the zoo on Wednesday. They wanted to learn more about camels.
Denver Zookeepers and veterinarians taught the troops about the ways to improve camels' quality of life and provide basic care to dromedary and Bactrian camels.
The soldiers will use the knowledge from Wednesday's field trip to the zoo to help the camels they encounter during their missions overseas.
