Flames Erupt From Home In Lakewood

LAKEWOOD, Colo. (CBS4)- Flames shot from the roof of a home in Lakewood on Tuesday afternoon.

Copter4 flew over the fire near Harlan and Colfax about 4:20 p.m. Tuesday. A neighbor said the fire began on the patio.

Investigators found fireworks at the scene but can't confirm that the fireworks sparked the flames because of the amount of damage the fire caused.

An electrical spark also could be to blame for igniting the fire.

Other issues slowing down the investigation include the amount of fuel sources at the fire including gas, a propane generator and lawn mowers.
