Fire starts at a house on Fall River Road in Colorado tourist town of Estes Park
A fire started at someone's house in the Colorado tourist town of Estes Park on Thursday afternoon and it spread to some trees. The first started at approximately 2 p.m. and power crews were shutting off power in the area around the property as a safety precaution.
The home is located on the 1800 block of Fall River Road and firefighters from the Estes Valley Fire Protection District and other agencies responded. The road is home to numerous hotels and tourist resorts.
Town officials said Estes Park Power & Communications were doing the power shutdown.
"Several customers may lose power," town officials wrote in an alert.
Estes Park Power & Communications will be shutting off power in the Fall River Road area due to a structure fire in the area. Several customers may lose power. We will provide more information as we have it. Fire information will come from Estes Valley Fire Protection District
