Fight Between Employees Apparently Led To Stabbing

LONE TREE, Colo. (CBS4) - An apparent dispute between workers led to a stabbing at a restaurant in Lone Tree Thursday night.

It happened at the Qdoba on South Yosemite Street, and police were able to catch up with the 22-year-old suspect thanks in part to a bystander who chased him down.

Thomas Javon Alton was arrested. He is being held at the Douglas County Detention Center.

Doug Perry was taking his kids out for ice cream at a neaby Cold Stone Creamery when he noticed trouble.

"The fact that there's a guy down in there and people coming out saying 'Don't go in there,' and he had a black hoodie on. I assumed it was a robbery," Perry said.

Perry said he called 911 as he chased after the suspect.

The man who was stabbed was 24 years old. He was taken to a hospital.
