Family Displaced Following House Fire In Westminster

WESTMINSTER, Colo. (CBS4) - The Westminster Fire Department is investigating the cause of a fire that displaced a family Saturday morning.

The fire broke out at a residence in the 2800 block of 116th Place just before 11 a.m.

"The initial dispatch report was that neighbors witnessed heavy smoke in the roof area, residents were notified to evacuate, and there were multiple 911 calls," Lee Giroux with Westminster Fire said in a statement.

The occupants and pets were all able to escape the fire.

Damage is estimated at $100,000.

No firefighters were injured.
