Families Impacted By Landslides Meet With Colorado Springs Officials

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (CBS4) - Help could possibly be on the way for families impacted by landslides on the west side of Colorado Springs last year.

During heavy rains in May 2015 the slides damaged homes in the Rockrimmon, Broadmoor Bluffs and Skyway neighborhoods. One woman's back deck and balcony had to be sawed off.

City officials are in the midst of holding meetings this week with homeowners to provide more information about a FEMA grant program to repair or buy out their homes. One meeting was held on Tuesday night and the next will take place on Thursday night.
