Englewood Residents Sent Reverse 911 Alert For SWAT Situation

By Danielle Chavira

ENGLEWOOD, Colo. (CBS4) - SWAT team members responded to a home near Federal Boulevard south of Union Avenue on Monday afternoon. A reverse 911 was sent to residents on Tanforan Drive, Englewood Police say.

Police say they were called for a verbal disturbance involving a gun which escalated to a barricaded subject. Investigators say a male suspect pointed a gun at another person during an argument outside of the home.

When officers arrived, they say the suspect ran into the home. After police ordered the suspect to come out, a different man came out.

When negotiations were not successful, authorities obtained a search warrant and entered the home. They arrested the suspect on several felony charges, without incident. Two other people were taken into custody.

No identities were released.
