Elementary PE Teacher Accused Of Possessing Child Porn
LAFAYETTE, Colo. (CBS4) - A physical education teacher at an elementary school in Arvada has been arrested for allegedly having child pornography on his home computer.
According to an arrest affidavit, Lucas Cole Young, 44, faces charges of sexual exploitation of a child.
Young, who lives in Lafayette, is a physical education teacher at Sierra Elementary School in Arvada.
"We take student safety extremely seriously, therefore we took immediate action. Mr. Young has been on administrative leave since we were first notified of the situation on Dec. 17," Sierra Principal Troy Brickley said in a statement to parents. "Our school and district staff has cooperated fully with law enforcement since the beginning of the investigation and will continue to do so."
The school said they don't know if any of their students are involved in the investigation.
