Loveland Police Officer Eddie Luzon Named In Shooting 19-Year-Old During Call For Mental Health Crisis
UPDATE: Alex Domina Dies Weeks After Being Shot By Loveland Police Officer
LOVELAND, Colo. (CBS4) – Loveland Police Officer Eddie Luzon was placed on administrative leave after he shot Alex Domina while responding to a call for a mental health crisis. The 19-year-old, who lives with mental disabilities, remains in the hospital recovering from three surgeries.
Domina allegedly confronted officers with a knife in his hand prior to being shot on Monday night.
Luzon fired his weapon during a confrontation with Domina. Luzon was placed on administrative leave.
