Detective Dan Brite Leaves The Hospital
PARKER, Colo. (CBS4) - Douglas County Sheriff's Detective Dan Brite left the hospital Thursday to cheers.
Brite was critically injured in a shootout with a suicidal man near Sierra Middle School in Parker on Sept. 2.
Brite left Parker Adventist Hospital on Thursday afternoon. Everyone who saw him off wore shirts that read "Heroes need Heroes."
He will continue his rehabilitation at Craig Hospital.

"He charged in, and ran to the fight," said Douglas County Sheriff Tony Spurlock. "He didn't stop. He was the first guy to go in and the community knows that."

In a statement, Dan and his wife Christine thanked everyone for their support.
