Deadly Deputy-Involved Shooting Investigated
JEFFERSON COUNTY, Colo. (CBS4)- The Jefferson County Sheriff's Office is investigating a shooting involving one of their deputies. The suspect did not survive.
The shooting happened at Chatfield and Kipling on Thursday afternoon.
According to Jefferson County, the call came in at 3:42 p.m. for a traffic complaint then call of shots fired. The Jeffco Sheriff's deputy did discharge his weapon.
Copter4 flew over the area just after 4 p.m. Where deputies had blocked off some lanes. There was a dark-colored Audi that had crashed into a tree near the intersection. The rear window was shattered.
The deputy was not injured. The suspect has not been identified.

It is unclear what led up to the shooting.
