Denver Zoo Celebrates International Polar Bear Day

DENVER (CBS4)- The Denver Zoo celebrated International Polar Bear Day with a special treat for its featured wildlife.

The polar bears were outside enjoying the frigid winter temperatures that most closely resemble their native habitat.

On Friday the bears were treated to a special ice sculpture thanks to the zookeepers.

The purpose of International Polar Bear Day is to educate zoo visitors and others about the challenges polar bears face as climate change makes a major impact on their livelihood.
