Denver, Pueblo & Colorado Springs Set New Record Highs For Feb. 6
DENVER (CBS4) - Denver's official reading for Friday was 70°F, which broke the previous record high on this date set in 1944.
The Feb. 6 record (67 degrees) was tied before 11 a.m. in Denver, and then the thermometer rose even higher.
At 10:27 a.m. it hit 68°F in Colorado Springs, breaking the old record there of 65°F set in 1944. The final high was 72°F.
Pueblo hit 70°F at 10:25 a.m. which also set a new record, breaking the old one of 68°F from 1930. The thermometer topped out at 78°F for the day.
It is rather unusual to see temperature records broken in early February, but especially so early in the day.
