Denver Hosts World Premiere Of 'Appoggiatura'

DENVER (CBS4)- Denver is hosting the world premiere of "Appoggiatura." It's a play that was finally realized last year.

The Denver Center Theatre Company is hosting the premiere of the performance, set in Venice where three main characters go to grieve the loss of a loved one.

The play first debuted during the 2014 Colorado New Play Summit.

Now it's on stage for the first time and the actors are the first ever to play these characters.

"I love working on world premiers, I love working with writers who are still in process with their work. It's a very exciting place to be," said Rob Nagle, who plays Aunt Chuck in Appoggiatura.

Appoggiatura is on stage at the Ricketson Theatre through Feb. 22.
