Neighbor: Park Hill Shooting Victim's Mom Found Body

DENVER (CBS4) - A young man is dead after an overnight shooting in Park Hill.

The victim's body was found at an apartment near the intersection of Dahlia Street and Bruce Randolph Avenue.

A resident who lives in the apartment building told CBS4 he called police late Thursday night when he heard gunshots.

He told CBS4 the victim's mother, who works overnights, apparently came home from work Friday morning to find her son dead. He said the woman came out of her apartment screaming.

The victim's name hasn't been released, and there is no description so far of any suspects.

Police so far have not confirmed if there is a connection between the gunshots heard Thursday night and the death.
