CSU Rams Coaches Get Schooled On Postgame Protocol
FORT COLLINS, Colo. (CBS4) - Right after Colorado State's win on Saturday the new coaching staff had to get a little friendly reminder from their players that there was some unfinished business to take care of: the fight song.
Luckily offensive lineman Sam Carlson, a fifth year senior, was there to help them out.
"You know, CSU has been singing that in the locker room after victories for as long as I can remember. So I just wanted to keep that going," Carlson said.
Rams head coach Mike Bobo, who used to coach at Georgia, wasn't all squared away on what he was supposed to do, and was thankful for Carlson's friendly reminder.
"He led the team and I texted him ... and said 'I appreciate how you did that. It helped me out,'" Bobo said.
"I'm sure they didn't know all the words, so we've got to get them coached up a little bit in that area, but coach looked like he was at least trying to mouth the words," Carlson said.
At least he didn't sing accidentally sing the Georgia fight song!
The Rams next face Minnesota on Saturday.
