Crews Quickly Contain Grass Fires Along U.S. 285 In Jefferson County
JEFFERSON COUNTY, Colo. (CBS4) - Firefighters battled and quickly contained two grass fires that broke out along Highway 285 in Jefferson County Tuesday afternoon.
According to the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office, southbound Highway 285 had to be closed at Kipling Street as crews battled the fires.
Both fires contained at 285/Kipling. Mop up in progress. 285 southbound to be reopened soon.

No structures were threatened.

One of the fires was estimated at 2 acres. It's not clear how large the other fire was.
