COVID In Colorado: RTD Continues With Second Round Of Layoffs
DENVER (CBS4)- RTD will announce a second round of layoffs this week. The public transit company is facing a massive budget shortfall due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Some bus, train and light rail operators for RTD were laid off in December. On Wednesday, some salaried administrative staff will be let go.
Those laid off will receive two months pay and benefits as part of their severance. RTD is planning to layoff a total of 399 employees.
