Colorado Attorney General Phil Weiser Leads Coalition To Allow Marijuana Business Access To Federal Banking System

DENVER (CBS4)- Colorado Attorney General Phil Weiser is leading a coalition with 34 other states to allow marijuana businesses to have access to the federal banking system.

The states are urging Congress to include the legislation in the next coronavirus relief bill.

Weiser said there is a higher safety risk during the coronavirus pandemic because the industry is cash only. That creates a higher possibility of transferring germs through money.
