Community Gathers To Campaign For End To Gun Violence

DENVER (CBS4) - Members of the group Families Against Violent Acts gathered in the Montbello neighborhood on Saturday to call for an end to gun violence. Organizers say they hope to have more meetings like this one to talk about ways to prevent an increase in gun violence this summer.
Organizers say they planned this event to coincide with National Youth Violence Prevention Week.
Dozens of participants wrote names of gun violence victims on balloons and released them into the sky in their honor.
