Colorado weather: Sunday brings fall-like temperatures

Denver weather: Temperatures cooling down

Cooler weather arrives Sunday thanks to a cold front. Highs will be in the upper 70s throughout the Denver metro area. Along with cooler temperatures you'll also notice breezy conditions with wind gusts 30 to 35 miles per hour along the I-25.

We have a chance for an isolated storm from Denver through northeast Colorado, with more widespread showers along the Palmer Divide, the southern foothills and in the far southeast corner of state we have a marginal risk of severe weather.

The cooler weather sticks around on Monday with daytime highs in the upper 70s and lows 80s.

By Tuesday, high pressure returns and so will summerlike temperatures with highs back in the upper 80s and low 90s. It will stay mostly dry and hot through Thursday. By Friday, monsoon moisture will make a comeback and we have a better chance for showers and storms through the weekend.
